
Integrative Occupational Therapy
Courtney Metzinger is a dynamic, evidence-based, integrative occupational therapist serving individuals of all ages. Holds over 10 years of academic teaching and mentorship experience, primarily at Washington University School of Medicine and 12 years as an occupational therapist--having worked in outpatient, inpatient, and clinic-based therapy services, primarily at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. Additional work experience in community-program planning and in artistic production and education. Holistic in approach and guided by principles that support mind and body wellness. Holds 12 years of yoga teaching experience for all ages. Publishes on, and specializes in, chronic-condition management using cognitive awareness training, self-management, and self-regulatory principles. Particular emphasis in executive functioning, awareness training, self-management, and stress-management intervention approaches. Past affiliations with St. Louis Children's Hospital Late Effects Clinic and Misophonia treatment teams. Currently provides community and school-based therapy services and has designed social skills and self-regulation programming. Provides community-based occupational therapy as Nashville MindBody and yoga and mindfulness education as Nashville Kids Yoga.
